Beginning with a second place finish in the Tushka Tournament, the Lady ‘Cats have kept their eyes on a state championship. Following the Tushka Invitational, the Lady ‘Cats became the champions of the LeFlore County Tournament by defeating Heavener in the “If” game.

Going into the district tournament, the Lady Wildcats experienced success on the field as they played tougher teams in preparation of state play-offs.

As host team for both districts and regionals, the Lady ‘Cats held their opponents scoreless for a perfect six-games. The Lady Wildcats finished play-offs 63-0 over their opponents.

The Lady Wildcats reached the State Tournament ranked 5th in Class 2A. The first round of the state tournament, they defeated Cyril 5-0. Second round play found them up against Frontier, who had beat #1 ranked Frontier the day before. The Lady Wildcats once again held the opponent scoreless for 7 innings and finished the semifinal game with a 4-0 win.

Their cumulative state play-off score stood at 72-0 going into the state finals championship game.
